FAQ

Common questions

Where does the information come from?

LinkedIn, personal and company sites, published writing, conference talks, press coverage — plus professional people-data APIs to match the right person. Dossier never reads your private email, messages, or documents.

Can it read my email or change my calendar?

No. The Google permission is read-only calendar access. Dossier can see event times and attendee emails, nothing else, and you can revoke access in settings at any time.

What if there's not much out there on someone?

The brief tells you. Every claim carries a confidence rating, and a thin public record shows up as low confidence instead of padded-out filler.

How accurate are the IQ and personality estimates?

They're statistical estimates from public writing, not test results. Every number comes with a range and a confidence rating, and when the writing sample is thin the brief says so instead of guessing.

How is this different from googling people myself?

It's the same research you'd do yourself, run automatically for every meeting and summarized so you can read it in two minutes. The difference is that it actually happens, even on days you're back to back.

How do I cancel?

From settings, any time. Billing runs through Stripe, and the trial doesn't ask for a card up front.
